Brand new fishing cottage! Skiing in Crested Butte is only 35 minutes away and
you'll never get a place like this for $1000/week in Crested Butte! Called the 'Tip
of the Island'. Beautifully decorated, hidden among the trees with the Gunnison
river on both sides. You can throw a line in from either bank. We're probably
talking about over 200 feet of private river front property. (But bring waders for
the rest of the river!)
There are 2 queen beds plus a comfortable couch. The home is custom-built of
cedar siding with lots of windows and a large redwood deck just for sittin'. Fully
furnished.
Located just outside of Gunnison on Dos Rios Island, 30 min. from Crested Butte,
and 5 min. from the Gunnison International Airport.
The Gunnison is famous for its excellent fly fishing and bait & spinner trout fishing.
From your charming secluded 'tree house' location, the Gunnison River flows by
you on both sides.
You'll enjoy the natural stereo sound of the river's main branch in your kitchen and
living room windows and the west branch from your two bedroom windows.
Right next to the Dos Rios Golf Course (actually, between the Front and Back 9!
Plenty of water, trees and sand enhance this well-established, mountain course.
It's a great course with plenty of difficulty and a par 72 ranking. A round of golf
only costs $65 per person.
The Gunnison River is the main tributary that feeds the largest reservoir in
Colorado, Blue Mesa Lake, which is just nine miles west of the property, offering
all kinds of fishing (Mackinaw, German Brown and Rainbow Trout and Kokanee
Salmon.) Sailing, waterskiing, jet skiing, parasailing and beaching are popular.
There is lots of wildlife around the property including deer, red fox, rabbits,
eagles, mink,... and sometimes an occasional bear wanders by.

washer & dryer. Please do not smoke in the home. Your most well behaved dog is
welcome but not allowed inside the living quarters. However a dog can be kept
very comfortably in the downstairs, heated garage area.
