| Description |
Beach Front: This privately owned vacation beach house is located on a beautiful mile-long stretch of pristine, white sandy beach. Two large sliding glass doors open to the porch and offer a panoramic view of the offshore islands as well as access to cool ocean breezes. Lush palm trees envelop the grounds and house. Snorkeling opportunities abound! Reefs are within easy swimming distance (two small patches can be found about 50 yards out) and provide great snorkeling and spear fishing (lobster season is from August 1 to March 31). A short walk down the beach reveals a large rock formation about 200 yards off shore, known to locals as The Three Sisters. It serves as the perfect backdrop each morning to gorgeous, tropical sunrises. Ceramic tile flooring, new windows & screens, and new bathroom fixtures were installed in January of 1999, a new gas range in February of 2001. New furniture (Pier 1 Wicker) was delivered on November 5, 2002.
There are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has its own closet, private bathroom and shower. The other two bedrooms share a bathroom, shower and tub. Linens and towels are provided. A fully equipped kitchen includes utensils, glassware, cookware, microwave, new refrigerator, gas stove, coffee maker, and complete dinner service.
Although there is a pretty constant breeze off the ocean and our home is equipped with ceiling fans (2) and small box fans (2), the beach house is not air- conditioned. It can get uncomfortable during the summer months as Exuma, on its southern shore, bisects the Tropic of Cancer.
