    How Do I get Started?

    First begin by registering. This will create your account. Once you completed the registration process, you can begin using the services on this site. Click here to register.


    Why do I need to give you my name and contact information?

    We need your contact information so we can keep you informed of site updates and your listing status. We will not be spamming you or sending you frequent e-mails. We keep this information private and use it only to communicate to our members. For more information read our Privacy Policy.


    Forgot Username and Password?

    If you forget your username or password, we can send it to you. All you will need to do is follow the instructions on the "Login Help" page to get your Username and Password. Click here for Login Help.


    What is a Trial Period?

    The trial period is used to evaluate our service. It currently lasts for 3 months and starts the day you submit your listing. It only applies to the first listing you provide and will last the full three months. There is no obligation during or after the trial period to continue your listing with us. If you choose to continue listing on this site you may do so when the system tells you that your listing will become inactive within 30 days.


    How do I add my listing?

    Once you log in to you account select "Add Listing" and follow the instructions. Once you enter your listing information you will see your listing like it would appear once saved. At this point, since you have only described the property you will not see any images. You need to enter your username and password to save the information to your account. You will then have the choice of uploading five pictures to your account. Whether you choose to add images now or later, your listing will still be immediately loaded to our system to be viewed by potential renters. If you choose to not load any images, you can always come back and add them later. Each listing will have a unique Listing ID. It will also have it's own unique home page in the form of http://www.rentalplaces.net/vacation-rentals-apartment-rentals/843.htm, where 843 would be replaced by your Listing ID.


    How do I modify my listing?

    To modify your listing you will need to first Log In. The next page you will see is your listing page. Click on "Edit" next to the listing you want to modify. The editing tool will walk you through the information in your listing. To save your changes you will be asked to enter your username and password. To edit your images, just follow the instructions provided.


    Can I put my web site URL on my listing?

    Currently we do not allow personal URL's to be added to listings. To provide tracking information to you we would not be able to accurately reflect the exposure your listing is getting if we allowed URL's to be posted to your listing. Each listing that is added will generate a unique listing home page URL that can be added to your personal web site for quick access to your listing on this site.


    What is my listing home page?

    Every listing that you enter will have it's own web page that can be directly accessed anywhere or anytime. It will have the form of: http://www.rentalplaces.net/vacation-rentals-apartment-rentals/843.htm
    The file 843.htm is your listings web page with the 843 identifying that it is listing #843 on this system. The 843 would of course be replaced by your listing ID. You can paste your listing URL in your personal home page or bookmark it for quick access. If the listing is updated, the change will be seen immediately when someone views your listing.


    What is the price to list my property on this site?

    Pricing for each listing depends on which listing option and listing term you select. Click on rates to see the prices for each listing option. Trial listings are placed under the Basic listing option unless you select Pre Pay for your listing option. Selecting Pre Pay for a listing allows you to get the immediate benefits of your selected listing option while saving money. Plus you still get the free trial period for whichever listing option you select so your paid term won't start until the trial period ends.


    How can I tell if my listing is active?

    Your listing status is found on you listings page after you sign in.
        - Green Dot {} indicates your account is up to date and the listing is currently active.
        - Yellow Dot {} indicates this listing is active but up for renewal and will expire in 30 days.
        - Red Dot {} indicates this listing is active but up for renewal and will expire in 7 days.

    If anything else is found in this column it means the listing has expired and is no longer active. You can still renew this listing by selecting the "Renew Listing" menu item.


    How do I renew a listing?

    Renew a listing is found on your listings page, after you sign in. After you select the "Renew Listing" menu item, you will see only those listings that are about to expire within 30 days and those that have already expired. Select the listings you want to renew and proceed to the next page to view the listing invoice.


    What ways can pay for my listing?

    Valid forms of payment include: Money Order, Cashiers Check, PayPal (Preferred method). PayPal is preferred because it is easy and safe for you. Plus we are able to activate your listing more quickly than if we received any other form of payment.


    How do I make a payment?

    If you are renewing a listing, be sure to include a copy of the invoice with your payment. Keep a copy also for your records. Please note your invoice number on your check or money order. Send your payment to the following address.
